Light pollution is the presence of artificial light in the night environment, this includes sky glow and glare of lights. Many people do not know however the negative effects light pollution can have on the planet.
A short explanatory animation was made to show the issues with light pollution. It shows the viewer the effects it has on the planet and what the viewer can do about it to help.
The animation won the prize for best animation of the year at the University of Twente.
All the elements were drawn in Illustrator and animated in After-Effects. Adaptive music and a voice-over were also added.
